Deciding on a Mortgage: My Early Morning Thoughts

This morning, I woke up at 6 am

An hour and a half early! Why? I hear you all cry!

Well, my current mortgage deal ends in 4 months and I'm unsure of what to do for the best. I'm quite fortunate though, I have mortgage advisers working with me, luckily, the one in charge sits in the office next to mine.

It's still not an easy decision though.

Do I sign up for a 5-year fixed or maybe just 2 year & see how the rates are affected after the upcoming election.

then drop on to the standard variable rate and let lady luck do her thing.

Mortgages are probably by far our largest monthly outgoing, most are in the hundreds, some in the thousands and that 1-2% over the next 60 months can make a huge difference,

So, what should I do, well the first thing is to find a mortgage adviser and get some advice.
